Lent 2010 Resource List Updated

Lent has arrived and there are many new resources that have suddenly appeared on the web.

Here are some suggestions for you to follow.  Some of these I listed earlier but as they all have new posts for the beginning of Lent I thought that it was worth mentioning them again.

Lent and Beyond – an Anglican prayer blog has some of the best reflections and devotionals around.  i particularly enjoyed the Ash Wednesday index and Lent and Ash Wednesday Activities for Families

Jonny Baker always has great resources available for worship.  Here is his Lenten link

Two sites that list some good resources from Down Under are: Per Crucem Ad Lucem and Liturgy – worship that works

And a good article on the Emerging Scholar’s blog – What are You Picking Up for Lent – a great reminder that Lent is about picking up the ways of God’s kingdom rather than about giving up things we enjoy.

  1. Hi Christine,

Thanks for your blog, and for the resources you list here. I have found your thoughts and links to be a valuable resource for me for many years.

I am not sure if this is appropriate – if not just delete my comment – but I thought you might be interested to know about my worship resource blog “Lectionary Worship Resources” which offers resources based on the lectionary. I post each week, and I’m working about 3 weeks ahead (I usually aim for 4 weeks ahead). So, if this is helpful, feel free to let others know.

Thanks again for your thoughtfulness and insight.

  2. I am glad that you did mention this. I will add it to my blogroll. Blessings
