June 22nd is World Refugee Sunday. Check out the great resources at the Refugee Highway Partnership to enable you and your church to be more fully educated on this important issue so that the congregation can fully participate. This is one issue that I am really passionate about. Any time I see pictures of refugees on the news or in the paper I am immediately transported back to my own experiences in refugee camps in Africa and Asia. We have no concept of the horrors of life for people who have fled their homes because of war or famine or flood. Please join with us in prayer for for the over 33 million people who have been displaced and often forgotten people of our world.
Also don’t forget that this weekend is the World Weekend of Prayer for Children at Risk sponsored by the Viva network.
